Miguel Miranda Montes, graduated from the Architectural Association (DRL) in London, is Director of Design at Muuaaa a design and culture studio he co-founded in 2007 responsible for projects such as the Tropical Design Symposium, the book FRESCOS: 50 Puerto Rican Artists Younger Than 35, Technological Rainforest Exhibition for Toyota & Lexus, and ON / OFF: Energy Alternatives for Puerto Rico for Banco Popular.

His work has been featured in publications such as Area Magazine, FRAME, and MONOCLE. He's currently professor at the School of Architecture - University of Puerto Rico, and has served as visiting professor at the Barcelona School of Design and Engineering (ELISAVA) teaching parametric design, ​and the School of Architecture at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico where he co-taught together with visiting lecturers Tom Wiscombe and Hernán Díaz Alonso.

He is currently absorbed by material research, process-based design-architecture, tropical design and food design.
